Expert Craftspeople, Job Site Simplicity
Algoma Hardwoods can provide superior craftsmanship and in-factory quality when compared to traditional field work. Our skilled craftspeople can finish, glaze, and machine your doors in our climate-controlled conditions to assure high quality results, while saving you time and labor costs.

Factory-Finishing
Architectural wood doors are permanent features in a building and are long-term investments. Like fine furniture, they look better and last longer when factory-finished. Algoma's factory-applied Univar finish, with environmentally-safe water-based stains and ultraviolet-cured top coats, ensures top aesthetics and performance for your project. For the best possible finish, for smoother, more durable and with more uniform color, texture, and sheen?. factory-finished doors offer the ultimate in quality, warranty, environmental consideration, and economical results.

Algoma Hardwoods' prefinish now features an anti-microbial technology that aids in the ongoing efforts by medical facilities, schools, and other buildings to maintain high levels of hygiene and germ control. This technology is offered on all factory-finished doors at no additional cost.

Factory Glazing
Factory installation of glass in wood doors (factory-glazing) offers a number of advantages over traditional field installation of glass. Cost savings, fire code compliance, timeliness, aesthetics and one less nuisance are the primary advantages that factory-glazing can offer.

Custom Machining
Algoma Hardwoods offers factory machining for hardware and accessories, allowing doors to arrive at the job site prepped and ready for installation. This saves time, ensures quality and accuracy, eliminates the need to coordinate machining, and saves labor costs.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
