When Jim and Laura Leuty lit the flame for Dog Candles in 2001, they started with a clear vision and a simple thought. After their daughter, Amanda, received a candle-making kit for her fifth birthday, she turned to her mom and proclaimed, We should start a candle-making business.
With those precious words, Dog Candles was born. Dog Candles carefully crafts each dog candle or pet candle by hand using the finest ingredients available, including a variety of gel designs, to ensure quality and safety. Each dog candle or pet candle burns up to five times longer than wax candles and they are safer than wax pillars and tapers. The Leutys use only materials that are manufactured in the U.S. for each dog candle or pet candle they make.
Once the dog candle or pet candle burns out, their stylish glass containers can be used for crafts or to store food. The tiles of each dog candle or pet candle can be cleaned, and with a magnet and some glue can be converted into a decorative magnet for your refrigerator or filing cabinet.
