Established in 1883 by Franklin Alexander Seeds in Covington, Kentucky, F.A. Seeds' Company produces the oldest trademarked furniture polish in the United States. Mr. Seeds' father, Franklin Elmore Seeds was a nineteenth-century cabinetmaker who formulated a hand-mixed dressing to preserve his fine furniture. It became so popular that he and his son formed a company to sell the wood dressing.
Mr. Seeds' Wood Dressing has been used in the finest homes for more than 130 years and also has the distinction of having been used in the White House since William Howard Taft's presidency. Our products have been recommended by the world-renowned Winterthur Museum in Winterthur, Delaware.
F.A. Seeds has continued to make Wood Dressing from the same recipe, first formulated and patented in 1883. Our tried and true original products, from Silver Polish to Carnauba & Beeswax Polish, follow the same traditional recipes developed over the last century, while our newest lines have been created by our own chemists to incorporate the finest ingredients and state-of-the-art techniques. We are dedicated to carrying on Mr. Seeds' dictate of only the finest and best. Quality is the keystone of our product line.
Over the years, F.A. Seeds has private labeled for some of the most prestigious companies in America and has also been honored to have its products sold at premium retail stores.
All of the bottled care products and the vast majority of the rest of our items are proudly made in the United States and our company headquarters is in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky.
