Become a more informed American Made shopper by reading our buying tips
The Tip is 'City Magazines'

I was in the magazine section recently and saw the Indianapolis Monthly. The cover title read "Made In Indiana." I read the article and was amazed that all sorts of things were being made in the state. This is contrary to what most American's believe. Most of us think everything is made overseas. We still make the majority of what we consume and our buying tips we call Little Secrets help you realize that. Being from Indiana, I decided to visit several of the referenced web sites and I am proud to say I have purchased some of the best products ever. All thanks to the "City Monthly Magazine".

Other city magazines like the Portland Oregon monthly are full of wonderful facts about Made in America businesses. According to the Portland monthly, Oregonians have long had a love affair with beer and Portland is the unofficial brewery capital of America. As I recall, from reading the city magazine, Portland has 35 breweries with Oregon having over 100. During the summer Portland has three beer festivals that draw over 100,000 people.

Oregonians love affair with beer is responsible for a great Made in America product. This is evidenced by a popular Saturday morning CBS TV program choosing five made in Oregon beers as the best in America. Even though Budweiser Made in America is the most recognized it was not even on the list. According to CBS the top five beers in America are Widmer Hefeweizen , Full Sail Session Lager, Deschutes Green Lakes Ale, Bridgeport IPA, and Rogue Dead Guy Ale.

Basically, we're a trio of (soda) jerks with a collective desire to redefine refreshment. Our mission: To create the most delicious, all-natural handcrafted sodas on the planet.

In today's market, many sodas are packed with ingredients that you really don't need, don't want, and in many cases, can't pronounce. Check the labels, and you find various chemicals, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, artificial colors, artificial flavors? the list goes on and on.

At Pure Sodaworks, we simply take the finest organic fruits, berries, and herbs we can find, sweeten them with natural cane sugar, and create carbonated taste sensations like no other. Simplicity. That's what we strive for with every soda we make... while, at the same time, bringing you unique flavor combinations that will have you coming back for more again and again.

Why Soda?

One of the most frequent questions we get asked is: Why soda? Before we launched our bubbly business, any one of us likely would have replied, Well, because we like soda. However, after paying our dues as hard-working soda jerks, it is safe to say that we've acquired an entirely new perspective on the matter.

Some curious passers-by stroll up to our soda cart. It's hot out and they're thirsty. They take stock of the syrups on display, and we give them our spiel. Handmade sodas? real, organic ingredients? ice cold? cup or mug?

They finally make their decisions. Orange Basil. or Root Beer. or What's hibiscus? or Ginger Ale or Jalape?o? Really? We dutifully oblige by presenting each of them with a refreshing, flavorful, nostalgic, delicious soda. Then, we stand back and watch as big smiles slowly creep onto our newest fans' faces. Before you know it, they're gulping their sodas down, and discussing what flavors they are going to try next. We love that.

So, why soda? It's true. We do like soda. We like to craft it, and we like to drink it. But, we like brightening peoples' days even more.
