The Tip is 'Made In America Secrets' We needed some new towels recently and I remembered coming across your website. I thought I would give it a quick search to see if there were any Made in America towels sold nearby. It just so happened that when I did the search, I found there was a nearby reseller listed who carried the particular Made in the USA towels I wanted. We bought the towels and, not surprisingly, they are both more absorbent and better looking than I thought. Made in America Secrets has thousands of products made in America offered by hundreds of small manufacturers. These small companies are a big contributor to our economy. According to one study small businesses (those employing 1 to 99 employees) comprise 98% of all the USA businesses. That's equivalent to 5.8 million businesses employing over 40 million people. Most American's are unaware of how significant small business is when compared to the total size of the US economy. This website is aware of it and that is why 99% of the businesses that advertise on Made in America Secrets are small businesses. I now use this site to search for small companies especially since more than likely it is a small company that employs someone I know- my wife, my children, my friends. Buying Tip Continued - Read more on Made in America Products by Batwaves We were started by a group of snowboarders back in the 80's in Sandpoint, Idaho. Nothing on the market was able to take a beating and still keep people's hands warm and dry. The result of a lot of research and development was a mitt with a solid design and necessary features called the Batmitt. The design became popular with snowboarders all up and down the west coast (for more on Batmitts, click here) Later, the design evolved into several different mitt designs including the Winger, Half Pipe, Split Finger (Lobster Claw), & Trigger Finger models. Batmitts were worn by some of snowboarding's greatest legends including Tex Davenport & Jeff Fulton, both members of the famed Baker Hardcore. Other huge names in the industry that played a role in research & development on the Batmitt include Anton Pogue, Jay Liska and Nate Holland. Batwaves stopped production for a time, but we have been back in production since 2007. We currently manufacture Batmitts and Wingers, as well as a new Park Model mitt. These are the same mitts that the early legendary riders and countless others developed over a period of 20 years. Del Sanborn, one of the people responsible for the original design and manufacturing of the Batmitt, has played an integral role in getting these mitts back into production. Del has assisted in ensuring that our mitts surpass the standards set by Batwaves during the 80's & 90's. Our mitts are made in Sandpoint, Idaho with materials that are entirely made in the USA. Manufacturing the mitt locally allows us to ensure quality and consistency. Purchasing our materials from US manufacturers ensures we are putting the best quality materials into our product. |
