The Tip is 'Watch What You Eat' While in the grocery store recently I noticed that the apples were from South America. Next to South American apples were a bin of apples labeled Made in USA. I decided to go with the Made in America apples since they were US grown. Always remember the Big Secret- buying more American made products helps put Americans back to work. It will guide you to food you will want to eat that is grown with US labor. If you just take a moment to look and think before you buy, it is likely you will find what you are looking for. Also, be careful because sometimes labels are not what they seem. Some companies use the letters USA to fool you into thinking they are American products. Trust only those products that literally claim their country of origin. Look for labeling like: Product of USA, Made in USA, Grown in USA, or other definitive markings. And last, when you begin the journey of purposely identifying American products keep in mind that it may take a little time but the more you look the easier it becomes. You will start to remember which brands are made in the USA and which aren't. This knowledge makes it easy and will accumulate over time. Some food items are not grown in the USA and you will learn that too. The Big Secret tells us we don't need to purchase everything from USA manufacturers just a little more than we are accustom to. If you can average $200 a month more on domestic purchases than you otherwise would it adds up fast. $2,400 a year is equivalent to 7 MILLION new American jobs. We believe that is a good thing. Buying Tip Continued - Read more on Made in America Products by Timeless Wood Creations Welcome! Thanks for checking out my site. My name is Curt DeRoo and I have been a resident of West Michigan all of my life. I have also experienced the ups and downs of the Michigan economy. In order to plan a secure future for my family I am embarking on a new chapter in my life that includes my love for woodworking and extra income for my family. When I was trying to figure out a name for my company I thought of what working with wood means to me. Woodwork means craftsmanship, quality, customization, and timeless construction. I believe in making a quality product that will last and that meets your needs. My father is a craftsman and my fondest memories are of working with him in his shop learning his trade. My goal is to follow in his footsteps and make him proud. I am an engineer by trade which helps me visualize my customer's needs. My wife is a teacher and she is always asking me to make pieces that help her organize her classroom. She is always impressed when I can make a beautiful piece of furniture from a simple sketch and some measurements. Being an engineer for the past 20 years has helped me develop an eye for details. My wife often tells me I'm a perfectionist and I always exceed her expectations. I hope to bring that same ethic and attention to detail to the pieces I build for you. I am also used to meeting deadlines so rest assured your order will be a priority. Punctuality is very important to me. I hope you give me a chance to show off my workmanship and quality to build you a piece of timeless woodwork that you will enjoy for years to come. You can choose a piece that you see on my website or feel free to contact me with a unique idea and we'll see what we can figure out together. Thank you for considering Timeless Wood Creations and helping support a company with all Made in the U.S.A. products. Sincerely, Curt DeRoo |
