Emily's story At an early age, I developed a strong love of nature. My parents are underwater photographers for National Geographic and I grew up traveling the world with them. I then went on to major in Environmental Studies at Oberlin College. I combined my passion for nature with my love of entertainment and created environmentally-themed performance art pieces and parties! But I couldn't find colorful and sustainable party tableware. Jessica's story I grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC as a spunky kid who could beat all the boys in basketball. I ended up going to Harvard where I studied Economics and was captain of the Women's Basketball Team. After graduating in 2006, I had landed my dream job and moved to New York to work on Wall Street. Everything was great, but coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I eventually got the itch to start my own thing and I knew that I wanted it to have a positive impact on the world. That's when I ran into Emily at a party and knew that Susty was for me! |
