At that time the company manufactured filters, checkwriters and miscellaneous house ware products. Richard Penniman was trained as an accountant (Lehigh University) and as an attorney (University of Pennsylvania). Richard had worked in the construction industry, and as a controller for a large printer. One of his dreams was to start a family business which he could pass on to his sons. In 1989 Richard passed the business on to his oldest son Craig and his younger brother Scott. Craig retired in 1994 after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
