While in the grocery store recently I noticed that the apples were from South America. Next to South American apples were a bin of apples labeled Made in USA. I decided to go with the Made in America apples since they were US grown.

Always remember the Big Secret- buying more American made products helps put Americans back to work. It will guide you to food you will want to eat that is grown with US labor. If you just take a moment to look and think before you buy, it is likely you will find what you are looking for.

Also, be careful because sometimes labels are not what they seem. Some companies use the letters USA to fool you into thinking they are American products. Trust only those products that literally claim their country of origin. Look for labeling like: Product of USA, Made in USA, Grown in USA, or other definitive markings.

You will start to remember which brands are made in the USA and which aren't. This knowledge makes it easy and will accumulate over time. Following in the sawdust of great luthiers, William Rees has been crafting instruments since 1972, from harps to electric guitars, to dulcimers to lutes and everything in between. A biologist by training, William appreciates the natural beauty and voices in woods and instruments while constantly seeking to understand both within a scientific methodology. During his earliest years of building instruments, he traveled to various music archives and libraries in an effort to understand what he could of luthiers who had gone before. Additionally, William imposed upon the gracious nature of of numerous established luthiers by traveling to their shops for lengthy visits. William is also an accomplished, award-winning multi-instrumentalist who has been teaching and playing professionally since 1970. His first-hand experience, having played for audiences numbering from 4 to 7,000, sets him apart in his understanding of the demands placed upon stringed instruments by professional musicians and discriminating audience members alike. The light of William's life is his sweet goldendoodle, Eleanor, who accompanies William to work everyday.
