Eric D. Moore
Founder

The Birth of an American Company: Bullhide Belts was founded in 2007, by owner Eric Moore. He was looking for a belt that was a better quality leather than anything you could find in stores. The first belt designed was a black grooved edge bullhide belt, that has become one of the best selling belts in company history. Soon after we introduced the grooved bullhide belts in rich brown and natural colors.

Bullhide Belts first started selling their belts at local trade shows to showcase their quality and build a customer base. Soon after in 2010, we opened our website store and started shipping our belts all over America. The success of the website led to more belts being designed such as the money belts, dress leather belts, shark, and double prong belts. We quickly expanded our product line the first 3 years and now offer hundreds of different belts, wallets, and leather goods to choose from.

As customer demand grew, we have expanded our operation and built a state of the art leather shop in early 2013 to keep up with demand and our fast turnaround times.

There are now two leather shops located in Indiana and our main offices are in Ohio, which currently employ 13 US workers. This allow us to build a quality custom made product and deliver it to your door in about a weeks time (compared to 30 days with other companies).

Bullhide Belts is continuing to expand and showcase their products on national TV, radio, and magazines. In a short amount of time, we have grown to become one of America's largest belt manufactures on the principle of making quality leather goods at reasonable prices.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
