Happi-Pocket started 18 years ago in Memphis, Tennessee. Cynthia Talley left a Fortune 500 Company to be able to stay home with her children. Needing to go back to work, she became a substitute teacher in the Memphis City School System. During this time, she was starting to develop the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag in her spare time. Several of the teachers used chair bags that parents had made for their students. Having been home sewn, the bags were not holding up very well. Since Cynthia sewed, she took several home to be repaired. As word spread of the repairs, several more appeared. The teachers told her she needed to start making chair bags while she was making the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag. As she sold the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag, child care directors suggested she start manufacturing quality cot and mat sheets. Discovering the market for sheets had a lot to be desired, she started making the sheets. The chair bag developed into the Happi-Pocket and the rest is history.... A few years later, the factory is in place shipping across the USA.

Every day is looked at as a new learning experience. If someone makes a suggestion, we listen. We continue to listen. That's the only way to grow!! We are a business that continues to grow throughout the years.

A mat sheet, mat cover, cot sheet, cot cover, school desk chair bag, a Happi-Nappi nap bag or better described, as a toddler sleeping bag and crib sheet are the products needed in the day to day operation of child cares and schools. These items make things easier for everyone. After listening to parents and teachers for several years, Happi-Nappi was born. Children needed something to keep them warm and secure. Teachers wanted something that would not take up a lot of space. The original Happi-Nappi met these needs.

USA MADE

The following is a reply from Happi Nappi to our question – "Are your products American Made?"

How do you know the products you have listed are Made in the USA?
Before including products in our database we review the advertiser’s website and/or contact them to ascertain the origin of their products. Some advertisers sell both Made in USA products and foreign ones. Therefore we highly recommend you review FAQ 2.

We immediately investigate any complaints regarding deceptive Country of Origin claims. If we determine an advertiser's claim is not truthful we will immediately remove the product/s from our database and suspend our relationship with the Company making the claim.

To document your complaint, email us by using our Contact Us page. We can only respond to complaints that have been submitted in writing.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
