Hug-A-Plug was designed to solve these two common problems when connecting power cords to standard outlets: minimize the space required to plug a cord into an outlet, and reduce damage to cords. What is a Hug-A-Plug?
Hug-A-Plug is an attractive, premium-quality right angle current tap (often referred to as a right angle adapter plug) designed to connect electrical cords parallel to outlet surfaces. It eliminates wasted space at outlets by minimizing the clearance required behind furniture, appliances, etc., and eliminates bending, crimping, and damage to cords, significantly reducing the risk of electrical shocks and fires.

Why Another Plug?
Who needs another plug? YOU DO!! We can all use a Hug-A-Plug! How often have you had to place furniture or appliances further from a wall than you would like or bent and damaged a cord when moving furniture back to the wall, all because of protruding plugs? With Hug-A-Plug, problems solved.

Oh, one other thing, we make them only in the USA! Hug-A-Plug is based in Michigan and our products are manufactured in the United States.

Where will I use Hug-A-Plug?
The most important place to use a Hug-A-Plug is in every outlet that is behind furniture, appliances, desks, file cabinets, etc. Why? These are the areas with the greatest chance for cord damage and resulting electrical shock or fire.

Bedrooms
Behind beds, dressers or nightstands for lamps, clocks, radios, electric blankets, etc. You will be surprised how many uses you will find in the bedroom.
Kitchens
Use one in every outlet for countertop appliances, radios, TVs, in the appliance garage, etc. Every cord can now hug your wall, freeing space. Your counter will look better too.
Bathrooms
You will want one in every outlet around the vanity for hair dryers, curling irons, electric razors, electric toothbrush, makeup mirror, radio and more.
Garage / Workshop
Behind storage racks, around the workbench, behind storage areas for tools to prevent damage to cords and increase the connection capacity.
Great room / Office / Den
You won't believe how much better wall units, bookcases and entertainment centers will look pushed back to the wall and no need to worry about bending and damaging cords either. Desks and file cabinets fit flush to the wall without damage to cords. With Hug-A-Plug, outlets behind desks and file cabinets are actually usable. Computers, printers and power strips suddenly became easier to connect.
The list goes on but you get the idea. Hug-A-Plug can improve the use, safety and neatness of every outlet in your home, office or business.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
