In late 2009, Michael Niemis, the author of Opus Americana, was inspired to give testament to the historical events, founding fathers and founding principles of the United States of America. This inspiration led to the creation of Opus Americana - a new book honoring the Founding Fathers, our founding documents and national symbols that have helped make America the greatest nation on Earth.

Armed with skills as a professional graphic designer, experience as a former U.S. Marine, and a passion for detail, Michael developed the collection from the front cover to the back. He wanted the material to represent everything that makes America remarkable, while imparting the dignity and respect that these men and documents deserve. He spent an entire year and his life savings to create a masterpiece collection to pay tribute to the establishment of this great country.

From the printing to the binding, Opus Americana was made in America. Every book sold gives an American a job, Michael stated in a recent television interview. It is important that, when you have a book about America, it be made in America. His goal is to inspire Americans and future generations to remember what makes America the greatest and freest nation on Earth. Opus is designed to be passed on from generation to generation, to remind them of sacrifices made, so that we may never forget. It is an heirloom of unparalleled quality and workmanship in the literary industry.

On March 12, 2010, Opus Americana debuted to the American public on national television, showcased on Fox and Friends. As stated in the interview, Michael desires to help the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents to be cherished and preserved for future generations.

Citing such inspirations as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and John Adams, Michael poured his heart and soul into this endeavor. This book illustrates the history that paved the way for the first free and representative form of government the world has ever known. Featuring specific yet easy to understand details, Opus Americana is designed for anyone who is proud of what our country represents. It is a timeless tribute for those who have served and dedicated themselves to the cause of freedom.

My hope in creating this collection was to bind the most divine documents the world has ever known, along with a tribute to the men who created them, the sacrifices made to establish our founding principles, and the historical symbols that have come to represent our great nation, into a beautiful book. A book that every American could afford to display in their home or office, give to a friend or family member, and to let it serve as a constant reminder to anyone who reads it, what it took to make America free.

How do you know the products you have listed are Made in the USA?
Before including products in our database we review the advertiser’s website and/or contact them to ascertain the origin of their products. Some advertisers sell both Made in USA products and foreign ones. Therefore we highly recommend you review FAQ 2.

We immediately investigate any complaints regarding deceptive Country of Origin claims. If we determine an advertiser's claim is not truthful we will immediately remove the product/s from our database and suspend our relationship with the Company making the claim.

To document your complaint, email us by using our Contact Us page. We can only respond to complaints that have been submitted in writing.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.
