We are a high-end speaker manufacturer who has proven that price does not equate to quality in the home audio industry. Yes, there are certainly very good speakers that are expensive. But that doesn't mean all very good speakers have to be expensive. Distributor and retail markups eat up way too much of the price that you pay in most stores. There are many designer systems, the names of which you are very familiar, that are made from speaker components that cost less than 10% of their selling price of several thousand dollars. There are even more systems that fall within a slightly lower price range that are made out of components that cost only a few dollars. From the beginning, it has been our intention to turn this practice upside down, and to deliver speaker systems with the finest quality components, an attractive, upscale design and an affordable price. The only way to to accomplish all of this was to be different from the other players in the industry, make our speakers in the United States, and to sell them to our clients directly to avoid substantial (and totally unnecessary) markups. Click here for the inside scoop on audio industry markups.

Orb Audio is changing the way speakers are sold. The markups in the consumer audio industry can nearly triple the price of the speakers you purchase in stores. By steering clear of this hazard and selling direct to our clients, we can make better speakers and sell them for less. You will notice the difference. You will discover details you have never heard before in familiar tracks. Music and movies will shimmer with depth. Our business model makes a lot of sense and in the end you wind up with a system that costs no more than the generic box systems in all of the stores, yet performs better than all of the award winning domestic and international systems in a much higher price range. Trade a short, high-pressure in-store demo for a 30 day no hassle home trial. Add to that our long warranty and free lifetime technical support, and you have a winner. This is a better way to buy speakers.

Orb Audio is changing the way speakers are made. There is no substitute for quality. All of our speaker systems feature our exclusive Mod1 and Mod2 satellites and acoustically-matched custom Super Eight long throw subwoofer. When your money does not go to middlemen and markups, it goes into quality components like gold-plated binding plates, high tech neodymium magnets and oxygen-free internal copper wire. American steel cabinets, stands and mounts -- no plastic, no fake wood.

Orb Audio is committed to being different. Our Mod1 and Mod2 satellites are manufactured in the United States by craftspeople with years of experience in electronics assembly. We do not have to take mass market considerations into our design, such as designing speakers so that exactly 5,000 fit in an ocean shipping container (don't laugh, it happens all of the time). We can design our speakers for one thing -- performance. Our business philosophy is also unique. One way to keep our prices in the mainstream is to keep our overhead as low as possible. We would much rather be a boutique employee-owned company that can pay attention to detail and manufacture smaller batches of handmade speaker systems each month, than an office space eating, advertising, corporate junky that has to mass produce tens of thousands of speakers a month (or day!) just to meet overhead expenses. No $3,000 chairs here, although we do confess to having one hell of an audio system. Our customer service is different, too. When you contact us, you will speak with someone who knows what they are talking about and can help you find the right system -- even if it is not an Orb system. You will definitely speak to someone knowledgeable, and you might even speak to an owner of the company or a speaker designer because we all take turns on the phones and answering emails. Check out our Direct Service Advantage here. Oh, and the sound coming from our speakers will make your jaw drop. Did we mention that?

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
