At REC, our mission is clear...design and manufacture the highest quality reel seats, rod cases, cork grips, RECOIL guides, and fishing rod building supplies while providing fair value and superior service to our customers worldwide. REC components are fabricated from the finest raw materials available. Our nickel silver reel seats and rod building supplies are now made from our new and exclusive 18% nickel content alloy EverBright?(Substantially Brighter/Tarnish Resistant & Significantly Harder/Scratch Resistant). REC aluminum reel seats and fly rod building supplies are produced from high strength, hardened, aircraft grade alloys anodized to exacting military and industrial standards. Our salt water fly rod and spinning rod building supplies are further protected through the use of an anodized hard coat and Teflon? finish providing for superior durability coupled with light weight, a combination unattainable with other metal alloys. REC cork grips and rings are made from the highest grade Portuguese cork available. REC has ensured its supply of large quantities of high grade rings and pore-filled preformed cork grips by entering into a long term partnership with a leading manufacturer in Portugal.

Cork grips and rings

REC reel seats, rod cases, and rod building supplies are precisely manufactured to fit right the first time and every time. REC played an active role in combination with our industry trade association, American Fly Fishing Trade Association(AFFTA) to create the standard by which fly fishing reel seats and fly fishing reel manufacturers now comply. Our fly fishing reel seats meet this standard so you can be assured that each of our products will fit any fly fishing reel made in compliance with the AFFTA(American Fly Fishing Trade Association) standard.

RECOIL Guides

REC introduces a revolutionary new material for fishing rod guides. RECOIL guides are made from a special nickel titanium alloy with unique physical properties which provide exciting new possibilities for fishing rod designers worldwide. Until now, fishing rod guides have been plated or have used ceramic inserts to provide wear resistance. RECOIL guides are made from an extremely hard but flexible Shape Memory alloy, which does not require plating, cannot corrode in any environment, and returns or RECOILs to its original shape after repeated deformations. RECOIL guides are available in snake, single foot, and stripping guide styles for fly rods. Or RECOIL guides are available for spinning and casting rod designs.

With the exception of fishing rod blanks, REC is capable of supplying everything required to build and case fishing rods. We are dedicatied to meet the needs of fishing rod manufacturers, commercial custom fishing rod builders, distributors, and dealers worldwide by providing creative solutions to the most demanding applications. The REC team stands ready to serve its customers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner while delivering the highest quality reel seats, rod cases, cork grips, recoil guides, and rod building supplies.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
