Once upon a time, there was a store in Fort Worth, TX called KARMA. If you were a KARMA customer, many thanks. Opening that store (and running it from 2001 til 2007) was a dream come true. Unfortunately, the economy came crashing down and little sole proprietorships, like mine, didn't have much to fall back on. So the store had to close and I still miss it, and you, every single day....

...but that was then. As they say 'when a door closes, a window opens'. KARMA sold many things, from wall art, statues, cool jewelry and so much more. But, to be honest, my products--candles, scenting oils, soap, lip balm and more--were just too popular. Even after the store closed, customers found me and I soon was pouring just as quickly as before. So, rather than shutting down production...I kept on going, and moved online.

Jar Candles

Jar candles. Super scented, cause that's what you are buying candles for...to enhance your world. 11oz by volume. Brightly colored. Paraffin blend wax holds the maximum scent. The term 'triple scented' is meaningless (I've probably written a post on THAT somewhere) but if you want strong. Buy mine.
Wax Melts, Nuggets?

Super scented wax in a no burn format. Absolutely great for offices or where you just can't burn. Or, maybe, you just don't want too! No soot. No fuss. Just wonderful scent.
A few months later, in 2008, I learned about Etsy. I already had a website, but this was a larger pool of potential customers. Soon, I was shipping all over the US (international, too). Originally named Good Scents Bath Company? (GoodScents on Etsy), life was good.
But, before too long, after musing a bit, I decided to make another change. In 2009, after a lot of thought, Good Scents Bath Compamy? became
Coquette Bath & Home?.

The name pays a bit of homage to my French heritage, but also really identifies my products and my vision. After all, many products are 'good scents' but not all of them are fun, flirty and fabulous! With the addition of 'bath & home' it was clear that I intended to keep on with the candles that started it all, but was also going to keep creating new pampering goodies for personal care. The shop on Etsy was closed down (because 'back then' Etsy did not permit name changes on shops...thought they do now) and a new shop: CoquetteBath opened.

And life, though busy, was once again very very good.

And now, we're here. I get scolded by family for constantly changing my website, but as time moves on, my vision sharpens. I hope you find this new site even easier to shop. I welcome your comments. Check out the FAQ page to leave me a note. Thanks!

We immediately investigate any complaints regarding deceptive Country of Origin claims. If we determine an advertiser's claim is not truthful we will immediately remove the product/s from our database and suspend our relationship with the Company making the claim.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
