MICRON Filter Cartridge Corp. was established in 2005 and is located in Elmhurst, IL, USA, a western suburb of Chicago. In our clean, modern facility, we manufacture the highest quality wound filters in the following lengths and diameters:

Nominal Lengths Available
Standard Diameters Available
5, 7, 10, 20, 30, 40
1 7/8, 2 ?, 2 ?, 4 ?
Our filters are widely used for residential whole house filtration and commercial/industrial applications for filtering machine cutting fluids, printing inks, plating solutions, paint, cooling tower water, beverages, process liquids, etc.

We can supply virtually any length and diameter as a custom requirement.

Our product line-up includes:

MICRON Standard string wound filter cartridges

These cartridges use an efficient, FDA compliant polypropylene filter media precisely wound onto a polypropylene core. They can be used for potable water as well as any filtering application which requires a rugged, well engineered filter cartridge. Our cartridges fit ALL standard filter housings.

DUAL CLEAN? wound filter cartridges

These cartridges are available in 10 length, 4 ? diameter and utilized 2 separate wind values within the same cartridge. In certain applications, this allows one filter cartridge to provide both coarse and fine filtration to reduce premature clogging that might be encountered with a single wind rating only.

MICRON Activated Carbon filter cartridges

Our Activated Carbon filter cartridges have a high performance activated carbon layer wound into the body of the cartridge. The inner and outer filter media windings protect the activated carbon from pre-mature fouling allowing the carbon to help reduce chlorine levels and undesirable odors.

MICRON Silver? antimicrobial filter cartridges

The MICRON antimicrobial filter cartridges utilize AgION? silver ion technology to inhibit the growth of bacteria, yeast, mold and fungus on the filter media resulting in improved taste, odor, and appearance of drinking water.

MICRON Filter Housings:

Filter housings are available in 10 and 20 lengths for both Standard (2 14, 2 ? diameter) and LD (large diameter 4 ?) cartridges. We offer clear bowl housings only to allow easy view of the condition of your filter cartridge.

We are a very customer-service oriented company. You will find us easy to work. We manufacture all filters to order and provide short lead times so that our customers do not have to keep extra inventory on hand. All MICRON products are proudly made in the USA.

What does Made in USA mean?
There is no law requiring most products to be labeled Made In USA, or have any other disclosure about the amount of U.S. content. However, for job creation purposes (see our Big Secret tab), if you have a choice between an imported product and one with no country of origin on its label, choose the product without a country of origin over the imported one. This is true because the product without the country origin on its label has at least some American labor in its content and the imported one most likely does not.

Note: Imported products are required by law to country of origin on their label and products partially Made In USA do not. To answer this question completely reviewing our Labeling Tips 1, 2 & 3. These tips are accessible from scrolling to the bottom of our home page clicking Browse All Tips button.
