The Tip is 'Teach Grandchildren' One day, while I was on the Made In America Secrets site my granddaughter noticed and asked me what I was doing. I told her about the Big Secret and as I explained, she began to ask me more questions. After several minutes she left my office to play with her little sister. Months had gone by and until recently, I had forgotten about that moment. She was visiting again and I was talking to her about buying a custom printed T-Shirt. She immediately told me about a website that I could use to buy one. Wow I thought, she is only eight years old and already teaching me. The most amazing thing then happened, she said "Pops they sell Made In America T-Shirts". Thanks to her I purchased six custom Made In USA T-Shirts. Her name is Britton, she understands the Big Secret and I love it when she tells me her Little Secrets! Now she is ten and writing a screenplay called Mertastic. It is a story about a mermaid. Recently, she was visiting our house again and using my computer. She called me to come into my office and of course I came to her because that is what grandparents love to do. One of the reasons I love to be with her is because it is always interesting to see what she is up to. This time, she needed a mermaid tail for her movie, so we began to look around using Google. Her mother is a talented seamstress and will make the tail so we were looking for fabric that would be satisfy my granddaughter's vision of her mermaid tail. Once again we began to talk about Made in America and therefore started to investigate the country of origin of the fabrics she was considering. We have been making candles since 2002. We have made an extra effort to purchase our raw materials, when possible, from companies that make them in the USA. Also, we are continuing to produce all our candles using 100% natural soy wax and produce a candle line that is 100% natural using essential oils. This is our From Nature Candle Collection. We use non-metal wicks and use a glass tumbler that you can clean out and use as a drinking glass for your home. Re-purposing at its best! We have arranged our candles into four candle lines: Pauper's Traditional Candle Line, Signature Candle Line, From Nature Candle Collection, and Herb N' Garden Line. Each candle line features a set of unique scents. Each scent in each candle line comes in a 7oz boxed candle and an air freshener. Each candle line has its own packaging to set it apart. We are very excited about our candle lines and know you will find a scent to fit you. We are currently living in Sandpoint, Idaho and seeing our 17 year old dream coming to a reality, being debt free, living a simple life on our own land, and living off-grid. Yes, our candles are made from free energy from the sun! When one is in control of their world and the world is not controlling you, then one is truly free. We decided long ago that since our chosen professions do not produce large or even medium incomes, we then want to live in what we think is a beautiful area. We lived in Pacific City, OR on the coast, in Mitchell, OR in the high plains dessert and now in Northern Idaho in the middle of trees with a beautiful lake at our cities edge. We are truly blessed!
