The Tip is 'Watch What You Eat' While in the grocery store recently I noticed that the apples were from South America. Next to South American apples were a bin of apples labeled Made in USA. I decided to go with the Made in America apples since they were US grown. Always remember the Big Secret- buying more American made products helps put Americans back to work. It will guide you to food you will want to eat that is grown with US labor. If you just take a moment to look and think before you buy, it is likely you will find what you are looking for. Also, be careful because sometimes labels are not what they seem. Some companies use the letters USA to fool you into thinking they are American products. Trust only those products that literally claim their country of origin. Look for labeling like: Product of USA, Made in USA, Grown in USA, or other definitive markings. And last, when you begin the journey of purposely identifying American products keep in mind that it may take a little time but the more you look the easier it becomes. You will start to remember which brands are made in the USA and which aren't. This knowledge makes it easy and will accumulate over time. Some food items are not grown in the USA and you will learn that too. The Big Secret tells us we don't need to purchase everything from USA manufacturers just a little more than we are accustom to. If you can average $200 a month more on domestic purchases than you otherwise would it adds up fast. $2,400 a year is equivalent to 7 MILLION new American jobs. We believe that is a good thing. Buying Tip Continued - Read more on Made in America Products by Happi Nappi Happi-Pocket started 18 years ago in Memphis, Tennessee. Cynthia Talley left a Fortune 500 Company to be able to stay home with her children. Needing to go back to work, she became a substitute teacher in the Memphis City School System. During this time, she was starting to develop the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag in her spare time. Several of the teachers used chair bags that parents had made for their students. Having been home sewn, the bags were not holding up very well. Since Cynthia sewed, she took several home to be repaired. As word spread of the repairs, several more appeared. The teachers told her she needed to start making chair bags while she was making the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag. As she sold the Happi-Nappi Nap Bag, child care directors suggested she start manufacturing quality cot and mat sheets. Discovering the market for sheets had a lot to be desired, she started making the sheets. The chair bag developed into the Happi-Pocket and the rest is history.... A few years later, the factory is in place shipping across the USA. Every day is looked at as a new learning experience. If someone makes a suggestion, we listen. We continue to listen. That's the only way to grow!! We are a business that continues to grow throughout the years. Picture A mat sheet, mat cover, cot sheet, cot cover, school desk chair bag, a Happi-Nappi nap bag or better described, as a toddler sleeping bag and crib sheet are the products needed in the day to day operation of child cares and schools. These items make things easier for everyone. After listening to parents and teachers for several years, Happi-Nappi was born. Children needed something to keep them warm and secure. Teachers wanted something that would not take up a lot of space. The original Happi-Nappi met these needs.
