The Tip is 'Ask manufacturers' Some times I have run across an advertisement that implied a product was Made in USA but the product did not have the Made in USA label. Before I buy or put the product on my Made in USA list, I email the manufacturer and ask if their product is Made in USA. If they say yes I ask why their product is not labeled that way. Seldom will they tell me why but many times they will tell me every component that is Made in the USA and those that are not. I then make my decision about buying their product and put it on my list if they convince me. Buying Tip Continued - Read more on Made in America Products by Charlotte Ekker Wiggins What began in 1998 as a weekend trip with my mother to help find quilts for a friend is now a custom gift business. We make custom quilts in hard-to-find patterns, exclusive patterns with the artist's permission, and unique patterns I design. We also specialize in modernizing old favorites, such as hand-embroidered kitchen towels and making quilts out of printed photos and clothing. Baby crib quilts have become harder to find so we offer a variety of baby quilts in those smaller sizes that can easily be personalized with a baby's name and birth date. Double wedding ring and crazy quilts are difficult patterns - we offer both with a modern twist of colors but still hand-quilted. If there is something you like but it isn't offered in your choice of color, let me know and I will be glad to work with you to get it made in your custom colors. Thanks for stopping by - I look forward to hearing from you! |
